Our Lady Establishes the Devotion of the Five First Saturdays

The Fatima Apparition of December 10, 1925

On this day Our Lady, holding Her Immaculate Heart in Her Hand, appeared to Lucia, and by Her side stood the Child Jesus on a luminous cloud. The Child Jesus said: "Have compassion on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother, covered with thorns, with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to make an act of reparation to remove them."

Then the Blessed Virgin Mary said to Lucia: "Look, my daughter, at My Heart, surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce Me at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console Me and say that I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to Me."

To Iveta on April 12, 2017 Our Blessed Mother urges us to: 'Make known the devotion made known to you by The Second Person of the Holy Trinity known as The Five First Saturdays for reparation against the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Mother of God. This devotion will bring the Fruit if you obey it, as it has been made known'

On another occasion the Child Jesus reappeared to Lucia and asked that those who practice this devotion, receive Him in Holy Communion when in the state of grace.

The idea of the Five First Saturdays is obviously to make us persevere in the devotional acts for these Saturdays and overcome initial difficulties. Once this is done, Our Lady knows that the person would become devoted to Her Immaculate Heart and persist in practicing such devotion on all First Saturdays, working thereby for personal self-reform and for the salvation of others. Our Lady has assured us that She will obtain salvation for all those who observe the First Saturdays for five consecutive months in accordance with Her conditions.

The Fatima message consists of two elements:

Firstly - the request of Almighty God to establish in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary - this devotion must be founded on reality and presumes that such devotion is justly given to the Mother of God.

Secondly - involving the spiritual practices encouraged by the Angel and by Our Lady, as well as the prophetic content of the message, upon which the fate of the world depends.

Without the first dogmatic element, the practical dimension of the message of Fatima would be entirely arbitrary. To lend credence to the first part requires the Church to recognize the Mother of God as "Mediatrix of all Grace, Co-Redemptrix and Advocate" as the spiritual practice of the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and its fruits thereof is wrought through Mary - through the avenue of the "Mediatrix of all Grace, Co-Redemptrix and Advocate".  The proclaimation of the 5th dogma under the title: "Mediatrix of all Grace, Co-Redemptrix and Advocate" is Our Lady's ardent wish to Iveta as requested in the Batim Message in  numerous occasions. The church by recognizing this dogma would acknowledge the spiritual fruits of the "Mediatrix of all Grace, Co-Redemptrix and Advocate" the title through which Our Lady has been intervening on behalf of her children through the practice of the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that began with the Fatima Message 100 years ago in Fatima.

Let us pray that the Holy Father proclaims Our Lady as  the "Mediatrix of All Graces, Co Redemptrix and Advocate"....for she is Co-Redemptrix (with JESUS The Redeemer) and Advocate before JESUS Her Divine Son, The Divine Judge. Unto Her is given all Power, all Grace, all Gifts to bestow upon Her children, God's children who will Consecrate themselves to Her and call upon Her in each moment and decision of their lives. "

On another occasion the Child Jesus reappeared to Lucia and asked that those who practice this devotion, receive Him in Holy Communion when in the state of grace.

In conformity with the directives of Pope Urban VIII, we have no intention of anticipating the judgement of the Holy Apostolic See and of the Church on Apparitions, reported by us, but not yet recognized; indeed, we submit to, and accept; her final decision without reservation

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

The imposing Church on the Ganxim hilltop was constructed by the Augustinian Archbishop D.Frei Aleixo de Menezes between 1596-1610 and was dedicated to the apostles St.Simon and St. Jude. The Church and cemetery stood lonely and rejected -utterly isolated for over 200 yrs since the infamous plague that struck the region more than 200 yrs ago. Church services have since begun since 1993 following an apparition of the Virgin Mary to Mrs Iveta Fernandes.
